We partner with Colombian Baptists to serve the most vulnerable peoples in Cucuta, including Venezuelan refugees. The people are in desperate need. We are able to help some of them physically, while offering spiritual nourishment and an opportunity to know Christ. Your daily work might include serving children, youth or adults at one of several church plants or humanitarian houses alongside local ministry partners. An intermediate level of Spanish is required to listen to hurting people, to share the gospel compassionately and strengthen local ministry partners. Your interest and experience would be matched with the ministry needs. You can expect to be trained and mentored in church planting and compassion ministries by an IMB missionary.
*Summer Sojourner orientation and debriefing will be held in Richmond, Virginia, immediately prior to departure for the field and upon return to the U.S. You will be financially responsible for your round trip to Richmond, in addition to your round trip to the field. All flights to the field will depart from and return to Richmond.
